𝗗𝗕𝗦 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰: 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲

A heartfelt thank you to Claire Wong-Low and Geraldine Low from DBS Bank for the invitation to this incredible summit! It was truly inspiring to hear from leaders like President Tharman ShanmugaratnamKaren NguiEric Chua, 蔡金兴Dan BuettnerAnna LimQueenie Man, and other influential speakers, who are all working together to create a more inclusive and resilient world for the ageing society, where we can all live a healthy, purposeful and happy life.

Some insights from the summit:

📍 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗺𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴!  🚭 Research shows that if you have less than 3 friends that you can count on and feel lonely, it could cut 8 years of your life. A powerful reminder that our relationships are just as important as our nutrition and lifestyle. Let’s invest in our connections and build strong, supportive communities.

📍 𝗔 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝘀 𝟳.𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲! Those who have a positive mindset on ageing, feel useful, valued, and are told they are important tend to live longer. What’s your current mindset?

📍 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘁 is simple, mainly plant-based foods, and some communities have only 𝟱 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 (roughly once a week) . Eating well is a gift to ourselves, to keep our bodies healthy and our minds sharp!

It was also great to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones, including Karen WeeEdoardo Sirtori ,Hwee Ling KongJeannie Wong and Kum Yee Lau—all sharing the same passion for making a positive impact.

As we move forward, let’s bring these knowledge and ideas to life and work together to create a world where we all thrive—physically, mentally, and socially.
